Our Story

I'm Larsen. She's Sarah. We're two Idaho natives who dreamed of doing something a little bit different. Having spent our life in the city, our self-sustainability was always limited to what we could do in our backyard. Chickens, tearing out all of the grass to cultivate as many rows of veggies as possible, self-composting—it was like, no

matter how hard we tried, we always ran out of room or ran

into issues. With an ever-growing list of plans, wishes, and

disappointment in the impracticalities of living a "clean"

life inside city limits, we were cooped up

and out of options.

That's when an idea started taking shape.

What if we didn't have to be limited to our backyard?

What if we struck out and literally built the life we wanted to live?

So, the search began, and in 2020, we found "home." A 10-acre plot outside of Marsing, Idaho, with striking views of the Owyhee Mountains and gentle breezes off the Snake River, it was nothing but an untouched piece of wildland. No power, no plumbing, no water—we'd found the blank canvas we wanted to paint our dreams into.

Now, three years later, we're doing exactly that. We're learning, living, and growing as a farm-ly. Our home is built, our gardens are thriving, and we welcomed our first farmhand to the family last Fall. The only thing missing is a little bit of Opaline Ranch at your dinner table.

Thank you for all the love and support. We wouldn't be here without you.
